Science of Slink

The at-home pole program that brings you home to your body

At-home pole doesn’t mean all alone pole

As an at-home poler myself, I know doing classes from the comfort of your own home can sometimes feel a bit uncomfortable

  • It’s tough to stay consistent

  • It’s easy to go down the IG rabbit hole of random tutorials

  • It feels a little lonely

  • You don’t get the same level of feedback you’d get in a studio

But at the same time, you know the at-home pole life is for you– you just want it to be supportive, fun, and effective.

Science of Slink

Meet the at-home pole program that meets you where you are

The virtual pole membership, backed by science, so you can move safely and consistently while having fun with an inclusive community who gets it

Put your pole training on autopilot

No more meandering around the pole, wondering what you’re going to do today. Simply tune into a class and move out of your mind and into your body.

Feel supported

With movement options that are accessible to all bodies, you’re encouraged to simply show up as you in each class.

Move safely

With an intentional program that uses evidence-based pole insights, you can develop strong foundations, build upon them, and create habits that allow you to deepen your pole practice mindfully and safely.

Learn new skills

Pole isn’t rocket science. But it is exercise science. We break it down logically so you can learn the skills you’ve always wanted to without the side of overwhelm and confusion.

How the Membership and The Class Calendar Work

We break down each quarter and each month with what you need to learn new skills, build upon movements, and feel into the artistry of your dance.

There are 4 intentional classes on the calendar each week:

Pole Pathways

Build on a series of related movements.

Freestyle Flow

Discover your own unique artistry.

Feel Good Flex

Create the flexibility that feels right in your body.

Strength for Slink

Build strength to master new pole moves.

Every month, we base classes around a different theme, so you can focus on one area of your training for 30 days while integrating your new learning, skills, and strength into your entire pole flow.

Each quarter, we organize the program through

The Pyramid of Pole

Month 1: Increase your capacity

There are certain exercises that make pole movements much easier. As your personal trainer and pole teacher– I can take you through what you need to make your time on the pole easier.

Expect:
→ conditioning for every body
→ gentle mobility training
→ a program that takes all of the guesswork out of pole training

Month 2: Build technical mastery

You want to learn cool moves and I love being the person who uses research-backed tips and exercise science to narrow your focus and expand your pole training.

Expect:
→ detailed breakdowns that make learning new moves accessible
→ nerding out on how pole moves relate to one another
→ a plan that meets you where you’re at

Month 3: Unleash your artistry

It’s not pole move, it’s pole dance– so we’re going to focus on moving into your body and having fun on the pole.

Expect:
→ your own unique pole style to surface
→ building unshakeable confidence through movement
→ all the feels when you discover your own freestyle flow

As you’re figuring out where your at-home pole community is

Here’s why Science of Slink is different:

We’re online only

That’s how we’re able to pour everything into our at-home polers, as we have no physical studio to also maintain.

We’re science-focused

Like super-science focused. We cite our sources whenever we tell you something about pole or movement.

We focus on movement, not bodies

We focus on you moving into your body and feeling joy through movement. We’re staunchly against promoting diets or weight changes.

We love LIVE

While most online pole memberships focus on tutorials, we prioritize LIVE classes– giving you a holistic class as opposed to an isolated move to try. And even if you prefer watching the recordings, you’ll enjoy fresh content every week. We also think showing up LIVE creates a better sense of community.

We prioritize personalized

By keeping the membership small, we can ensure every student is getting the attention they need during their training.

Build a better relationship with your body and look forward to your pole training with a community of people who are there to love you for all that you are.

Kat, a white femme dancer, back bends in a chair
I was looking for a comprehensive home pole curriculum with live classes and Science of Slink fit the bill. Rosy’s inclusive, all-level, flow-based and science-motivated approach seemed too good to be true. As a fellow scientist and pole dancer, I enjoy that Rosy’s weekly, monthly, and tri-monthly curriculum is designed around real exercise science. The fact that the studio is all-gender inclusive, pro-sex worker, and mindful of dancer (dis)abilities means it is my ideal studio.

 Meet (Doctor) Rosy

A self-proclaimed nerd, I combine my Ph.D. with my personal training certification to infuse science into pole. But on a personal note, when I signed up for my first class in 2012– I saw my body as a necessary inconvenience.

I was never a natural athlete. And often, I felt like the only person in the room who was stumbling through the trick we were learning. But by approaching pole like one of my research topics, I was able to break it down and really learn how moves worked. But more importantly, I was able to break down all of the beliefs I had about my body, strength, and being a dancer.

Now I’ve got 12 years of pole experience and 2 years in my studio. Science of Slink is a holistic program, combining my nerdy side, personal training side, and love of dance. I’ve structured the curriculum so you can explore all that pole has to offer, while leaning into evidence-based insights that bring you deeper into your pole training.

Pole transformed my relationship with myself. And I hope by stepping into the studio, you can watch yourself dance with a new set of eyes, loving who you are in class and beyond the pole.

Find JOY through personalized at-home pole classes.

FAQs

What if I can't make it to classes live?

No problem! Some of the other members live in time zones where live classes never make sense for them... but are still having a great time in the membership!

You always get the recordings (including lifetime access) and you can send me videos of yourself if you want personalized feedback on anything we work on in class..

Do I need a pole?

You need a pole for Pole Pathways, it’s optional for Freestyle Flow and you don’t need one for the conditioning classes.

Although you still get more than your money’s worth if you’re only doing Strength for Slink, Feel Good Flex and Freestyle Flow I do still recommend a pole. :)

What if I'm out of shape, disabled or chronically ill?

You’ll be in good company! You’re more than welcome and I work hard to provide accommodations for my members, as well as modifications for different ability levels.

When I say this is all levels I MEAN it. For example, in pole classes there will always be options where you don't have to have both feet off the floor.

What if I get injured and can’t take classes for a while?

Reach out to me and I’ll pause and pro-rate your membership. And I actively encourage you to take a break if your care team is telling you to!

You’re also welcome to pause your membership for a month at any time for any reason: just reach out and I’ll take care of it for you.

I’m new to pole, will this work for me?

Yep! I’ve got a TON of experience with and love working with new polers so you’ll be in good hands. <3

How will I know if I like your teaching style?

Take a drop in class! :)

It can also be a nice way to meet some of the current members and get a sense for the general vibe of the studio!

Do I have to do all the classes?

Nope! Science of Slink classes are designed work together, but they don't have to be done and you won't be lost if you skip some.

In fact, because I design classes to work together, if you miss some classes you'll still get instruction that supports you in what we're currently working on.

When am I billed? Am I locked in a contract?

You'll be billed on the same day of the month as you started your contract.

And you're not locked into the contract: You can cancel your membership at any time and it will end on your next renewal date.

What happens if I cancel?

You’ll be in the program until the end of the month you paid for most recently, after which time you won’t receive any new class links or recordings.
